Peppergrass (Lepidium ruderale)
Peppergrass is hands down our favorite greenery for all types of bouquets and arrangements, from elegant to playful. The gorgeous branching stems are perfect as textural filler or as stunningly voluminous foliage. The sparkling shimming “emerald beads” fade to gold as they age. Dried stems are fantastic for arrangements, wreaths and decor. No cutting garden should be without Peppergrass. Sow more seeds every 2-3 weeks over the growing season for a continual harvest.
Also know as “Green Dragon Cress” and very similar to “Emerald Beads Cress”.
Type: Hardy Annual
Growing Instructions: Start indoors 4-6 weeks before last spring frost. Or direct sow when soil can be worked in early spring.
